The first time you navigate to pangea.app, you’ll be greeted with our Sign Up screen. To hire talent, click the button labeled “Business”. Here, you’ll have three options: create your account with an email address, use Authorize with Google, or Sign Up with Apple.
By creating your account with Authenticate by Google, you’ll be able to skip a few steps along the way. In the future, the only thing you’ll need to sign in to Pangea will be logging into your Google account. No more passwords to remember, and you’ll be on your way much faster.
After selecting “Continue with Google”, a pop up window will appear. Google will ask you to choose an account to continue with; make sure to use the same one you conduct business with. We will send updates on your projects to this email address, so it should also be one you check regularly.
Just like Authenticate with Google, creating your account with Apple will let you skip a few steps in creating your profile. In the future, the only thing you’ll need to sign in to Pangea will be your Apple ID; this means you don’t have to worry about forgetting your password, and you’ll be on your way much faster.
This option is only available on Apple devices, and will bring up a system dialog that will walk you through the process. It should take just seconds, and it will save you time logging in in the future. Please note that this will send all emails to the address associated with your Apple ID, so if this is not an inbox that you normally check you should sign up with an address you see regularly.
If you’d rather sign up the traditional way, you’ll need to input your first and last name, email address, and create a password. Your password must be at least 10 characters long. If you need to double check it before you continue, just click the eye on the right side of the password form. Then, click “Create Account” to continue. Your browser may prompt you to remember this email address and password; we suggest that you click yes to make things easier and to ensure you won’t get locked out of your account. All passwords are encrypted and unreadable from our database. If you ever forget it, you can use our forgot password feature to reset it.
To make sure we can provide you with the best support experience, we ask you to input your phone number next. This should be the number to a mobile phone you have access to, as you will receive a text message including a verification code within a few seconds of adding in your number. Input the 4-digit code to continue to the next step. If you didn’t receive the code, you can either ask us to resend the code or re-enter your number. If you don’t have access to a phone that can receive text messages, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
